America….where even the doughnuts are patriots

Stuck in the middle of an SUV and a minivan and surrounded by two tricked out Honda’s, bumper to bumper traffic, couped up and frozen still on a sea of pavement that leads you to nowhere in particular so you can do something equally unimportant. Trapped in the center of a patriot parade, commonly referred to as ‘rush hour’. Hundreds of people boldly displaying their support of the United states continuous slaughter across the middle-east. Silently declaring with unwavering faith, their blind obedience for the U.S. government. Red, white, and blue. Bumperstickers. Plastic flags attatched to windows. Mickey Mouse shaped antenna balls enveloped in the logo: Red, white, and blue. Every automobile on every road. A war completely commercialized and forced down your throat. You can’t even pay your phone bill without a percentage of it going straight to the military. Fueling the war. A war tax.
People are consumers are patriots are uninformed followers.
The mightly, morphing propaganda machine in virtually every form. You order a chocolate doughnut with sprinkles, and there it is, edible patriotism: Red, white, and blue sprinkles.
Resistance is not terrorism.
